This year brought about my first FINA World Championships held in Kazan, Russia. This is the first time I have competed against all counties as a whole. It was allot more difficult than the Commonwealth Games or Pan Pacific Championships, but was an extremely important stepping-stone for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The Journey to Kazan has begun as Taylor and the rest of the Australian Dolphin Swim Team swim up a storm in Doha, for their Staging Camp.
My first FINA World Championships is fast approaching. As of July 18th, I will be flying to Doha for a 2 week staging camp. This will be the last opportunity to best prepare myself and make any last adjustments.
As reported by The Sunshine Coast Daily, Taylor McKeown along with two other national swim team members are making the move to the Sunshine Coast.
Taylor speaks to the Courier Mail regarding her goals for making the 2016 Olympic Team.
"Everything I do now is geared toward qualifying and racing at the Olympics" says Taylor.
